Frequently Asked Questions

How much money do i need to start trading under your mentorship program?

As much as possible, in order for my strategies to work, I require my students to have at least $25,000 in their accounts with margin from their respective brokers. Having 25K with margin in your account allows you to place as many day trades as needed without day trading restrictions. Whereas an account that has less than $25,000, is limited to a number of day trades only. However, I am not, by any means, excluding any future members from joining my program with an account that has less than $25,000 or someone who has a cash account.

How does your trading mentorship program work?

The length of my trading mentorship program is four months, where I teach the basics of trading on a given weekend only. The rest of your education will be coming from live day trading during market hours on weekdays, where you will find me trading stocks with very informative commentary. This is the way I designed my mentorship program over resorting to trading modules because I believe live day trading experience is better than learning by information alone. It will more likely refine your trading skills by seeing the live fast high adrenaline action and most importantly, receiving proper guidance at the same time from an experienced day trader like myself. Trading is not rocket science. All you need is experience, strategies that actually work, tools, guidance from an experienced trader, and the right mental approach especially when dealing with trading challenges. However, I still HIGHLY encourage beginners to paper trade (Demo trading) first before going with your hard-earned money. You must work through the process until you are comfortable trading with real money. Furthermore, it will allow you to learn from your mistakes without having to risk your money while you gain experience at the same time throughout the trading process. It's also very important that you find confidence in my strategies and build confidence in placing your trades when you recognize the patterns, trends, and other technicalities that will be taught in my program.

What is Paper Trading and how to start paper trading stocks for beginners?

Paper trading is a simulated stock market where you can buy and sell shares. It's basically a demo trading using fake money. You practice trading the stock market without needing to risk your real money and to gain nothing but experience from your trades. Also, paper trading gives traders confidence and allows traders to test strategies and techniques that you can utilize when using real money.

ThinkorSwim offers paper trading with real time quotes when you download their software from their website. However, to gain access for real time quotes, you must call their customer service and request for real time paper trading quotes.

Lightspeed also offers paper trading/demo, but you must communicate with a representative to gain access.

I want to enroll in your trading program. When do we start?

You will receive an email from Pnoy Trading regarding your start date upon receiving your registration and confirmation of payment. Also in the payment page, you have the option to choose your preferred start date if you have a particular date in mind. But please note that your program will always begin on a weekend. Furthermore, in unfortunate circumstance, I may ask you to reschedule your start date if I happen to be not available, for any personal reason, on your preferred start date. But once your start date has been confirmed, your program will commence for the length of four months.

What is a Pattern Day Trader

  • A Pattern Day Trader (PDT) is a trader who executes four or more day trades within five business days using the same account.

  • Pattern day trading is automatically identified by one's broker and PDTs are subject to additional regulatory scrutiny and limitations.

  • Pattern day traders are required to hold $25,000 in their margin accounts. If the account drops below $25,000 they will be prohibited from making any further day trades until the balance is brought back up

What is a margin call?

  • A margin call occurs when a margin account runs low on funds, usually because of a losing trade.

  • Margin calls are demands for additional capital or securities to bring a margin account up to the minimum maintenance margin.

  • Brokers may force traders to sell assets, regardless of the market price, to meet the margin call if the trader doesn't deposit funds.

What is a cash account?

  • A cash account is a type of brokerage account that requires that all transactions be payable in full on the settlement date with available cash.

  • When buying securities in a cash account, the investor must deposit enough cash to pay for the trade, or sell other securities on the same trading day so that cash is available to settle the buy order.

  • Unlike margin accounts, cash accounts do not allow short selling or trading on margin.

Which trading platforms do you use?

I place majority of my trades with ThinkorSwim since it's commission-free. And I use Lightspeed mostly for placing trades at the open, charting, level II and time & sales.

Is it guaranteed that I will become as successful as you are under your program?

I do not guarantee anything! In life, nothing is promised. And in trading, if you want extraordinary result, you must be willing to put in extraordinary effort. Trading is very risky but if you are a risk taker, you stick to my strategies, stay disciplined, stay committed, and you keep working hard, you will get the results you deserve. Since day 1, I have been glued to my screens and always learning both from my winnings and especially from losses.
